Discipleship is for all

Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)

Being a disciple is more than just following a course, attending lectures or reading books. Discipleship is a path of following Jesus, growing in faith, and being willing to sacrifice.

This is a year of personal growth and transformation. For some it may also be a time of training for ministry, possibly full time Christian service.

Our in-person study programme

Every Christian is a disciple. Every disciple is a minister. We are all called to follow Jesus and serve him by bringing his blessing to the world.

We are all wired up differently, with different gifts, experience, personalities and at different stages of life.

So how do we grow as disciples?

Teaching Content

We are a ministry of Lansdowne Church, and we teach evangelical theology which affirms the authority of the Bible and the importance of evangelism. Our teaching is in harmony with the Evangelical Alliance Basis of Faith.

On controversial matters we help students reflect on their own theological perspective in the context of orthodox applied Bible teaching. The Wednesday Study Programme covers the main areas of Theology including Christian Doctrine, Biblical Interpretation and Church History.

We also cover areas of Applied Theology including Pastoral Care, Evangelism and Discipleship. The core textbook is the Bible, but we provide further reading to enable a comprehensive study of Christian Theology.
